1959
Master Baker Heinz Mertes founded a bakery together with his wife Anneliese Mertes in Stolberg /Rheinland. Soon the need for energy-saving means of transport resulted in self-developed products built for his own use. As these transport devices found favour with his fellow-bakers, he concentrated on manufacturing transport devices from the early 1960ies onwards.
1980
the company moved into its own production site in Eschweiler. In the early 1980ies stainless steel devices still were the exception due to an exaggeratedly high market price. During this period of time Anneliese changed the market considerably by promoting an uncompromised "yes" to products made of stainless steel at a favourable price.
1989
marked another milestone in the company’s history. Anneliese started to market their products on their own all over Europe...
1991
Anneliese and Heinz Mertes retired from the business and passed the company to their son Thomas Mertes.
1996
the continuous growth of the past years demanded for additional space. Anneliese bought an area of 45,000 m2 and moved into two new halls where tin processing and the logistics were located.
2002

In February 2002 the final relocation of the company to its new site was undertaken. On a total of more than 8,000 m2 administration, production and storage were brought together again.
