Baking tins

Deep-drawn instead of canted

It is a well-known fact that deep-drawn baking tins do have considerable advantages to canted and welded tins. However the complexity in tool-making used to increase the costs in the past. By an innovative tool-making technology Anneliese succeeded in dramatically reducing these costs and to make deep-drawn tins affordable.

When producing canted tins a small gap in the corners cannot be avoided. Whenever the tins have to be coated, this gap represents a big problem. The coating can easily come off in this spot by corrosion creep.

The only remedy is the deep-drawn tin. However costs of 6,000 € and more for the tool-making technology alone used to oppose the change for deep-drawn tins in the past.

Therefore Anneliese looked into the subject of basic tool-making technology and was able to reduce the tooling costs for tins by up to 65 per cent. A development which even renowned specialists regarded as impossible.
